Is it the end of the road for Sherwood as Villa lose again?

Elsewhere Jamie Vardy continued his scoring streak.

THE PRESSURE ON Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood increased this evening as his side suffered their eighth loss in ten Premier League games.

Villa took the lead in the 63rd minute when they hit Swansea on the break. The home side broke following a corner for the visitors with Jordan Ayew stooping to head home a Gabriel Agbonlahor cross.

Their lead lasted just four minutes, however, as Gylfi Sigurdsson curled home a 25-yard free-kick to level things up before Andre Ayew netted the winner four minutes from time.

The Swansea man side-footed home a Kyle Naughton cross to secure all three points for his side to leave Villa second from bottom with just four points from a possible 30.

Elsewhere, Leicester’s Jamie Vardy continued his scoring streak, helping his team to a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.

Vardy found the net for the seventh consecutive game, his tenth of the season as Leicester strengthened their grip on fifth spot.

Troy Deeney and Almen Abdi both scored for Watford as they beat Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium while Salomon Rondon’s strike was enough to give West Brom all three points against Norwich.
